After Tori’s throw continues into Ne-waza, Uke lands on the back and traps Tori’s right leg. Tori controls the upper body and works the leg free before settling into right Kesa-gatame. If Uke frees the near arm, recognize a possible Ashi-gatame only while stable control remains. The leg assists an elbow lock; it never attacks Uke’s leg joint. Release any lock immediately on submission or Matte, and use it only where event and age rules permit.
