In this example, leads sideways to Uke’s left. As Uke’s trailing right foot closes toward the left foot, Tori’s left sole sweeps Uke’s right ankle toward the left, gathering both feet. The hands lift and guide the upper body in coordination with the sweep. Mirror the sides for the opposite direction. , also called Okuri-ashi-harai, depends on the feet coming together before the stance settles; it is not a kick at two planted legs.
